Scott Kaufman

Scott Kaufman is the Chief Executive Officer of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, the primary philanthropic and volunteer organization for metro Detroit’s Jewish community. Appointed in July 2009,  Kaufman is widely regarded as one of the foremost innovators and community-builders in the Jewish communal world.

Under Kaufman’s leadership, the Detroit Federation has seen steady growth in terms of
its Annual Campaign dollars, directed gifts, endowments, grants, donor base, young
adult engagement and overall participation in Jewish communal activities.

Kaufman earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan in 1989. In addition to his work, he is dedicated skier, cyclist and aspiring boxer.

Dave Bullock

Dave Bullock has over two decades of experience architecting, engineering and deploying applications, infrastructure and teams at scale. He is a true full-stack engineer with a deep and broad understanding of all aspects of the modern day technology stack. He splits his time between leadership, architecture and engineering, always staying abreast of the newest industry developments and trends.

 

Dave is the Sr. Director of Technology, Engineering and Operations at Wag Labs, Inc..

Sylvain Abitol

Sylvain graduated from Ecole Polytechnique in 1973 as a mechanical and industrial engineer. At Xerox where he worked for 6 years he was trained in telecommunication at their California facilities. Sylvain placed his 1st telecom company on the stock market in 1985 and later was CEO of a TSX traded telecom company selling matrix switches to Telco’s. His Company designed one of the most highly used electronic trading platforms in Canada, and which was later sold to Sungard. He is still active in the high tech space in web based used car auctions and telecom products.

 

Sylvain was president of Federation CJA, Co-president of Canadian Jewish Congress and is now Co-President of Justice for Jews from Arab Countries. He also serves on the board of the Jewish Community Foundation and is the Montreal chair for Passport for Jewish Life.

Jeffrey Wolfe

Zach Weisman

Zach has over 10 years experience helping lead Agile teams to design, develop, and grow successful digital products.  Zach has worked at several VC funded technology startups including The NTI Group (acquired by Blackboard) FamilyFinds (acquired), and Docstoc (acquired by Intuit).  Most recently, Zach held a Senior Product role at Surkus, an Event Discovery social platform funded by EOS Global.  Previously Zach co-founded and led Product and Operations at AnywhereMD, a digital-health app offered to large employers including Quicken Loans.  Zach has been passionately involved in JLIFE since its inception, helping to oversee the application design and functionality as well as other aspects of the project.

Zach's experience extends beyond product management as his skills support general operations, strategy, leadership, and financial modeling.  Zach holds an MBA from The USC Marshall School of Business in Finance and Entrepreneurship and an undergraduate degree from The University of Michigan.

Co-Founders of Crowdrise, a crowdfunding platform for charitable causes. Since its launch in 2010, the Crowdrise community has raised about $1 billion for over 30,000 charities. In January 2017, Crowdrise was acquired by GoFundMe.

 

Founders of Moosejaw, an internet retailer that offers outdoor equipment and apparel. Moosejaw was acquired by Walmart in February 2017.

 

Founders of Retail Backbone a cloud-based, backend software solution for multi-channel retailers.

Ron Zuckerman & Ori Birnbaum

Ron Zuckerman & Ori Birnbaum have decades of experience building, operating, and investing in successful technology companies.  Together they are partnering with JLIFE to provide technology and product oversight and development services.

Mr. Zuckerman has founded and taken public two companies including Sapiens International and Precise Software Solutions. Ron was a co-founder of a Brazlian telecom operator until it was acquired by Vivendi Group for $4.8 Billion.  Ron is a founder together with Scooter Braun of, Silent Labs, a platform leveraging innovative technologies within music and entertainment. Ron is also a founder of TRIBU, a volunteering app based in Israel.

 

Mr. Birnbaum has worked closely with Mr. Zuckerman on numerous companies for more than 10 years including TV Time (formerly Whipclip), a where he has been a board member since 2014.  Mr. Birnbaum is a founder of several other startups which have gone on to raise 7 figure investments including RayV and Bkstg, an online platform for connecting artists and music enthusiasts that was acquired by Endeavor.  Ori also serves as Senior Vice President of Product and Technology at Endeavor.
